The closure comes during a big rainstorm that followed a frosty weekend. Many power outages have been reported in the state, though only a handful in Middlesex County.
A flood advisory is in effect for Middlesex County through 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, because of the heavy rain this afternoon combined with the recent snow melt. The National Weather Service is urging motorists not to drive any vehicles on water-covered roads.
