SOUTH BRUNSWICK -- Firefighters were sent to fight a fire Tuesday night at the FedEx warehouse on Melrich Road after the Monmouth Junction Volunteer Fire Company received a report that a fire alarm was activated.

Scott Smith, chief of the fire company, said when firefighters searched through heavy smoke conditions in the 20,000 square foot warehouse, they located a box truck with the cab and engine compartment on fire.

Smith said they were able to confine the blaze to the single truck. There were no injuries.
