A portion of Route 1 has been closed due to a crash.
NORTH BRUNSWICK TWP. -- One person was injured in a crash that has closed Route 1 South at Finnegans Lane, according to police.
The crash happened at around 3 a.m., officials said.
A 19-year-old Ewing man driving a silver 2010 Ford Explorer crashed into a utility pole, downing the pole and wires, authorities said.
The man was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. His injuries are not known, but police said he was in stable condition.
Motorists should use either Route 27 or Route 130.
Police were unable to give an estimated time of when the road would reopen.
