COLONIA -- Joel is a young male cat in the care of Angel Paws Rescue.
He was rescued from a municipal shelter, where he had been relinquished after his owner developed health issues.
Joel has been described by volunteers as a "laid back" cat who gets along well with other felines at the adoption center.
He has been neutered and is up-to-date on shots.

The center is open weekdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and weekends from noon to 3 p.m. The shelter is supported by the efforts of Angel Paws Rescue and is currently caring for 61 cats.
