Crews are mopping up a fuel spill caused by a multi-vehicle accident that has closed a portion of Route 9 south in Sayreville.
SAYREVILLE -- A an accident shortly after noon involving a several trucks, including a tanker truck filled with fuel, has closed Route 9 south near Bordentown Avenue while crews clean up the fuel spill, according to police.
Police have issued a warning posted on the department's Facebook page that all lanes of the highway are shut down with a photo that includes the tanker truck, a large dump truck and a tractor-trailer.
Police have not reported any injuries in the accident.
