EDISON -- A large dose of Indian culture danced across the stage at the two day India Fair in Edison.
The 2016 India Fair is a "Large south asian culture show," said Priyanka Shah of Royal Entertainment that produced the fair.
"More than 700 kids performing and participating in the dance competition," said Rahesh Rai, president of India Fair.
The two day event was expected to draw 20,000 visitors.
About 25 schools brought performers of all ages to dance on the main stage at the NJ Exposition Center.
Indian crafts, clothing, food and Bollywood celebrities and performances filled the two day event.
Yashitha Bujala performed as the Goddess Durga. The teen dressed in full costume and had her hands and face painted blue.
Goddess Durga is the mother of the universe in the Hindu religion and protects followers from evil.
"It was cold and uncomfortable," Bujala said. "I wanted to show everyone what good looks like," she added.
