WOODBRIDGE -- Police found three children living in a Woodbridge home that was raided during a drug bust Thursday morning, officials said.

Tyree Blaine, 31, of Bunns Lane, was charged with selling heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana.

When officers arrived at Blaine's residence Thursday morning and announced their presence, Blaine began "throwing heroin and crack cocaine out of the second-floor window in an attempt to conceal the drugs from officers," according to a statement from police.

After searching the home, police say they uncovered 680 bags of heroin, 11 grams of crack cocaine, 84 grams of marijuana, and roughly $6,000 police believe came from drug distribution.

The bust came after a several-month investigation by the Woodbridge Police Department Special Investigations Unit.

Blaine was also charged with drug paraphernalia, distribution of controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of public property and endangering the welfare of a child.

His bail was set at $100,000.

The Woodbridge police Special Operations Team and Middlesex County Task Force assisted in the investigation.
