CARTERET -- For the 10th year, hundreds of belly dancers performed at the Spring Caravan over three days in Carteret.
Cabaret, tribal and fashion belly dancers performed at the St. Demetrius Ukrainian Community Center as part of the Spring Caravan of workshops and dancing.
Dancers could sign up individually or with groups to perform.
"For most, this an opportunity to dance on stage," said Michelle DeVine, producer of the event.
Crowds fill Lambertville streets for Shad Fest
Some performed to live music and others brought recorded music that played along with their performance.
Workshops were offered for those interested in learning how to dance. More than 600 people danced on the stage during the event.
"I love seeing the smile on their faces after they get off stage," said DeVine.
