EAST BRUNSWICK -- The man whose vehicle drove off the New Jersey Turnpike Saturday and landed on a road below has died, police said Sunday.
He was identified as Samuel Harding, 48, of Eastampton.
The man was driving northbound on the outer roadway of the Turnpike in East Brunswick when his vehicle went over the guardrail and landed on Tices Lane, which runs beneath the highway, New Jersey State Police Trooper Lawrence Peele said.
The man was ejected from the vehicle, a gold Nissan Murano, Peele said. He was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he was pronounced dead.
