Officials are investigating a suspicious package that was being shipped from South Jersey to East Brunswick on Thursday.
EAST BRUNSWICK -- Authorities are investigating a suspicious package that was being sent from South Jersey to a business on Edgeboro Road, according to Lt. Kevin Zebro, of the East Brunswick Police Department.
Police officers and the county sheriff's bomb-sniffing dog responded to the business at around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday for a bomb threat arising from the suspicious package, Zebro said.
He added, however, that the package never arrived.
In an email, Zebro said, "the business was going to receive numerous packages, but they were not shipped and are being investigated in South Jersey."
Officials are further investigating the package in South Jersey. It is unclear, however, where exactly the package was coming from in South Jersey.
No further information was available Thursday afternoon.
