Wexler has written biographies of the philanthropist and his family.
WOODBRIDGE -- Local author and historian Annette Wexler will discuss the "rags-to-riches" tale of the late Remco Toy Co. founder and industrial park developer, Isaac "Ike" Heller at the Woodbridge Public Library's main branch on June 23 at 7 p.m.
Wexler interviewed many Heller family members and wrote three lengthy biographies of the philanthropist and his family. These titles are available at the Woodbridge Public Library, as well as other libraries, universities and historical societies located throughout New York and New Jersey.
A resident of Edison, Wexler has also written her own biography, "A Nice Jewish Girl from the Bronx & New Jersey." The author donates a portion of all proceeds from the book's sales to The American Heart Association and The American Cancer Society.
The program is free and open to the public at the library located at 1 George Frederick Plaza. For more information, call the library at 732-634-4450.
