Benji PERTH AMBOY -- Benji is a male Labrador retriever/German shepherd mix at the Perth Amboy Animal Shelter.
Benji, who is between 2 and 3 years old, has been with the shelter for several months. Shelter staffers say he is an energetic dog would be an ideal pet for a family with older children who could keep him active.
Benji gets along with other dogs but would be best off as an only-pet. He walks well on a leash, is housebroken, neutered and up-to-date on shots.
To meet Benji and other adoptable pets, visit the Perth Amboy Animal Shelter at 597 Fayette St. Shelter hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The shelter is currently caring for 25 adoptable animals.
