OLD BRIDGE - The driver of a sport utility vehicle that overturned on the Garden State Parkway Sunday morning, killing a 28-year-old Brooklyn, N.Y., man, was drunk, police said.

Eillis was one of two people who were ejected from a GMC Yukon when it rolled over around mile marker 122.3 in the southbound express lanes around 7 a.m., Williams said.
The rear, right-side passenger, Steven Rivera, 28, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was also ejected and pronounced dead at the scene, Williams said.
Williams said both Ellis and Rivera were not wearing their seat belts. The other two passengers, who were wearing seat belts, were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune where they are being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Exactly how the Yukon overturned is still under investigation, Williams said. He also did not have information on where they were coming from.
Officers from the New Jersey State Police fatal accident investigation and crime scene units responded to the crash. The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office also assisted at the scene.
The southbound express lanes were reopened at 11:30 a.m., Williams said.
