Authorities are asking other possible victims to come forward
FREEHOLD-- Authorities believe an Aberdeen man accused of possessing child pornography may have had other victims and are urging them to come forward if they have not already been in contact with law enforcement, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said in a statement Friday.
Robert S. Berardo, 56, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child for distribution of child pornography, endangering the welfare of a child for possession with intent to distribute and endangering the welfare of a child for possession of child pornography.
Berardo is an adjunct professor at Middlesex County and Raritan Valley colleges and previously worked as a professor at Monmouth University. He was also a coach in the Aberdeen/Matewan rec girls softball league from 2001 to 2008, and coached the rec's travel team in 2008 and 2009.
Berardo was being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution on $110,000 bail with a ten percent cash option. He is also barred from unsupervised contact with minors and from using the Internet.
