EAST BRUNSWICK - Firefighters were battling a "fully involved" house fire Thursday afternoon on Cape Court, according to police.
Firefighters from East Brunswick and Milltown were on the scene about 3:30 p.m. shortly after the fire was reported in a two-story home.
"The residential building was fully involved upon arrival," said Lt. Kevin Zebro of the East Brunswick Police Department.
The fire was under control shortly before 5 p.m.
A woman who answered the phone at the East Brunswick Fire Department said all available first-responders were at the scene and that information was not immediately available.
Photos from witnesses at the scene showed smoke pouring from the home and heavy damage to support beams as firefighters worked to control the blaze.
