A vehicle overturned on the outer lanes of the Turnpike in Woodbridge
WOODBRIDGE -- A fatal crash on the northbound New Jersey Turnpike near Interchange 11 in Woodbridge has jammed traffic for at least seven miles during the Tuesday morning rush hour, State Police said.
One person was killed after a vehicle overturned on the outer roadway at milepost 89.8 around 6:50 a.m., Trooper Alejandro Goez said. Two other people in the vehicle were injured.
Three lanes are closed and traffic is squeezing past along the shoulder in the truck lanes. By 9:30 a.m, delays in area had eased, according to 511nj.com.
The State Police's fatal and crime scene units were still on the scene at 8 a.m., according to Goez.
