A Middlesex County woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in southern Georgia on Sunday night, according to a report.
Glenda Santana-Pantoja, 44, of Perth Amboy, was driving south in a 1996 Toyota Corolla just before midnight when the vehicle veered off the road near Woodbine, Jacksonville.com said.
A single-vehicle crash in Georgia claimed the life of a 44-year-old Perth Amboy woman. The car went down an embankment after traveling another 190 feet and then struck two trees, the Georgia State Patrol told the website.
Her passenger, a 22-year-old Tampa, Fla. man, escaped with minor injuries. He told authorities he was asleep and doesn't know what happened. Both he and Santana-Pantoja were wearing seat belts.
The crash took place three miles south of the Woodbine exit and about 40 miles north of downtown Jacksonville, Fla.
