The man found dead in the parking lot of a New Brunswick movie theater has been identified as the Jersey City man wanted for killing his wife Thursday.
Steve L. Franklin, 39, was found in a car in the parking lot of the AMC Loews off Route 1 at about 1 p.m. Sunday, New Jersey Advance Media reported on NJ.com.
"The preliminary police investigation suggests suicide, however a final determination cannot be made until an autopsy is completed," New Brunswick police said in a statement.
Authorities had issued an arrest warrant for Franklin Friday, charging him with the murder of his wife, Sineka Davis, in their Jersey City home.
Davis, 38, was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to her chest inside her Manning Avenue home around 6 p.m. Thursday after police were called on a report of a domestic dispute, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
Franklin was identified by Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, whose office released a photo of him to the media after it was announced he was wanted.
