The Olympic gold and silver medalist from New Jersey will write about her childhood in New Jersey, her injuries and her nerves in the memoir

Laurie Hernandez, the Old Bridge gymnast who is currently touring with Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastic Champions and impressing weekly on "Dancing With the Stars," has somehow managed to find time to write her own memoir, People.com reports.

The book, out Jan. 24 from HarperCollins, will be called "I Got This: To Gold and Beyond," a nod to one of her breakout moments -- whispering "I got this" to herself before her balance beam exercise at the women's gymnastics all-around at the Rio Olympics in August. (The U.S. women's team won gold in the all-around, and Hernandez went on to win silver on the beam.)

The book will cover her injuries (she has fractured her wrist and dislocated her right kneecap, tearing her patella ligament and bruising her MCL, requiring surgery) and anxieties and her childhood juggling homeschooling and gymnastics practice.  "I hope I can help inspire people to go for their dreams," she tells People. "It was really fun to go down memory lane and reflect on how I got to where I am."

Hernandez, who turned 16 in June, can be seen Monday nights on ABC's "DWTS," where she is performing with the Fort Lee-based pro Val Chmerkovskiy and earning raves from the judges. Only seven couples remain, including Hernandez's fellow Olympic Ryan Lochte and his pro partner Cheryl Burke.
