EDISON -- A Lebanon man has been arrested and charged in connection to a fatal car wreck that killed another man early Saturday morning, Middlesex County authorities said.

Christopher Ravita is facing one count of death by auto after running a red light and hitting another car, killing the driver, 74-year-old Edison resident Ronald Setlight, Prosecutor Andrew Carey and Edison police Chief Thomas Bryan said in a press release.

Ravita, 29, is being held for observation at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, the release said. His bail has been set at $50,000.

Both the Edison Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, the release said, are investigating the crash. Police have determined that Stetlight was driving on Grandview Avenue and was crossing Route 1 in Edison when Ravita, who was heading south on Route 1, ran a red light and struck Stetlight's car.

Stetlight, the release said, was taken to the New Brunswick hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after the crash.
