Pair arrested after 3-month investigation in South Brunswick
SOUTH BRUNSWICK - Two women opened a spa in South Brunswick and used it as a front for prostitution, police said.
Police raided Asian Pearly Spa on Route 130 and seized $823 cash, a 2010 Lexus, a flat screen television and office items, Capt. James Ryan said in a news release.
Li Zhang, 47 of New York City, and Ying Wen Mina, 49, of New Brunswick, were arrested Wednesday and charged with promoting prostitution after police obtained a search warrant.
The raid came following a three-month investigation by South Brunswick police, the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
