CARTERET -- Flames engulfed a tractor trailer Friday afternoon between Exit 11 and Exit 12 on the New Jersey Turnpike, causing temporary lane closures.
Authorities responded to the fire in the northbound lane shortly before 4 p.m., according to the New Jersey State Police.
No injuries were reported, police said.
Two northbound lanes near the incident were closed to traffic, police said.
The cause of the fire is unknown. Police also did not have any information on the driver of the vehicle at this time.
