PERTH AMBOY -- A Woodbridge man has been indicted in a July hit-and-run accident in Perth Amboy, court documents show.
Pishoi Bakoom was previously arrested by the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office in connection with an accident that injured a 57-year-old city man, Jose Magalhaes, who was crossing the street at the intersection of Convery Boulevard and Harding Avenue.
Magalhaes was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with multiple injuries.
Bakoom was indicted Friday on charges of aggravated assault, assault by auto, knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in serious bodily injury, endangering an injured victim and hindering apprehension or prosecution, according to documents filed in Middlesex Superior Court.
Bakoom, who was 27 years old at the time, was released in July after posting $25,000 bail.
