Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office is involved the investigation
WOODBRIDGE -- Authorities are investigating a crash on Route 9 early Tuesday involving a pedestrian, according to police.
The incident occurred around 5 a.m. The state Department of Transportation reported all southbound lanes were closed and traffic was being redirected as of 5:45 a.m.
No information was immediately available about the pedestrian's condition or identity.
Accident scene investigators could still be seen taking measurements on Route 9 near Main Street at around 6 a.m. The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office is involved the investigation and Woodbridge police referred all questions to the county agency.
The southbound lanes were reopened by 7:30 a.m. according to the state DOT.
