Police still have not found the missing Old Bridge woman who was reported missing earlier this month.
OLD BRIDGE -- It's been two weeks and the whereabouts of 19-year-old Rachel Oakes is still unknown.
Officials on Tuesday said the township's police department and State Police are continuing to investigate the disappearance of Oaks -- a former Old Bridge High School student reported missing on Jan. 10.
Oakes' boyfriend, Tyler Urbanski, said on Monday that Oakes' family did not wish to speak to the media.
"There have been no updates or any more clues from the search," Urbanski said.
Urbanski previously said he received a call from authorities at 3 a.m. on Jan. 10 after Oakes' car was discovered near the Driscoll Bridge, which carries Garden State Parkway traffic over the Raritan River.
The disappearance has affected the community deeply, including Old Bridge schools Superintendent David Cittadino, who was the principal of the middle school Oakes attended several years ago.
He had said the Old Bridge community is like a family and that the school district would help in any way possible, according to a previous report.
I pray for Rachel, her family, & friends. https://t.co/5inx33XyzR
