The man stole cash and jewelry from four homes in East Brunswick
EAST BRUNSWICK -- A burglar pulled electric meters and cut wires on 7 houses Saturday during break-ins and attempted break-ins, police said.
The burglar successfully entered four homes by forcing in a rear or side door and made off with cash and jewelry, according to authorities.
Police said the man was driving a white van, possibly with New Jersey plates that had no rear windows and no markings.
The homes were hit from 4-11 p.m. in the the areas of Golden Pond Drive, Quaker Drive, Dorolee Drive and Crispen Lane.
Cops are using "directed burglary patrols" throughout the township in an effort to keep the man from striking again.
