City residents will be able to use designated facilities for parking for the coming snowstorm.
NEW BRUNSWICK -- In preparation for the coming snowstorm, the New Brunswick Parking Authority will open snow-designated parking facilities for city residents at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The "snow decks" are located on Morris, New and Plum streets as well as at the Wellness Deck.
Residents can view snow-designated street routes and decks on the NBPA's website. The parking authority's map can be viewed here.
Vehicles are required to be moved by 8 a.m. during the week "unless an emergency is still in effect or conditions warrant it," according to a statement from the parking authority.
Winter storm warnings have been issued in most parts of the state with weather forecasts predicting 4 to 10 inches.
Those who need further assistance should push the call button or call parking services at 732-667-8100.
Proof of residency is required to use the facilities.
