NEW BRUNSWICK -- A former youth football coach has been indicted on charges he sexually assaulted four children multiple times over the course of more than a decade, according to the county prosecutor's office.
Dawayne Avent, 36, of Fords, has been charged with aggravated sexual assault, aggravated sexual contact, endangering the welfare of a child and related charges, according to the indictment.
Avent allegedly sexually assaulted the children between July 2005 and July 2016, the indictment said.
