Missing 70-year-old East Brunswick man found in N.Y.

A 70-year-old East Brunswick man missing for more than a week has been found.

EAST BRUNSWICK -- The 70-year-old township man with memory loss, reported missing last week, has been found safe in New York.

Ete Szabo was found in Riverhead, Long Island, on Friday more than 120 miles from his hometown, according to a statement from the East Brunswick Police Department.

New York State Police found Szabo while on patrol.

Officials would not say how Szabo was found or how he ended up in Long Island.

Police said in the statement that they notified Szabo's family and that he was later reunited with them.

Szabo was reported missing after he had been last seen driving near the Route 202 circle in Raritan and then some time later crossing the Lincoln Highway Hackensack River Bridge in Jersey City.
