Comedians are known for taking their real-life experiences with them when they hit the stage, and Tracy Morgan is no exception.
The comedian used his 2014 car crash on the N.J. Turnpike during his stand-up set on Tuesday at the Garden of Laughs comedy benefit at Madison Square Garden, according to pagesix.com.
"Everybody here knows I got hit by the (expletive) Walmart truck," he said to the audience, according to the report.
The 48-year-old suffered serious injuries after a Wal-Mart truck crashed into his limo bus in Cranbury in July 2014. Fellow comedian James McNair was killed in the crash and several others were injured.
Tracy Morgan thought about suicide after crash
The driver, Kevin Roper, pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and four counts of aggravated assault. Under the plea, Roper agreed to enter a pre-trial intervention program.
He admitted to feeling fatigued while on the road.
Wal-Mart reportedly paid Morgan a hefty settlement.
"When I was in a wheelchair, I still shopped at Wal-Mart. Still can't beat their prices, but because of my settlement everything went up a penny," he told the audience.
