The riders collided at Rote 524 at Upper Station Road just before 2 p.m. Sunday
UPPER FREEHOLD -- The two men killed when their motorcycles collided at an intersection in Upper Freehold on Sunday afternoon were both Middlesex County residents.
The crash at Route 524 and Sharon Station Road killed Mikalai Monak, 46, of Jamesburg and Michael Doney, 58, of Sayreville, Trooper Alejandro Goez, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police, said.
Monak was riding east when he collided with Doney who was attempting to turn left onto Sharon Station Road from westbound Route 524, Goez said.
Both men were ejected from their motorcycles and pronounced dead at the scene. The collision took place at 1:49 p.m.
No other cars or passengers were involved in the crash, Goez said.
