PERTH AMBOY -- Police have identified the 21-year-old Florida man left in critical condition from a crash on a highway onramp Saturday.
Alexander Hill of St. Pete Beach, Florida, remains at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in critical condition after being ejected from his pickup truck on Route 440 shortly after 3 a.m., according to State Police spokesman Trooper Alejandro Goez.
Hill had run off the road and crashed his vehicle -- a Chevy pickup truck -- into a barrier after getting on Route 440 southbound from State Street in Perth Amboy -- roughly a half-mile from the Outerbridge Crossing, previous reports said.

He was airlifted to the hospital. No other passengers were in the pickup.
No further details about the crash were available on Sunday, which remains under investigation.
