State Police said seven people were hospitalized after a crash on the Garden State Parkway in Woodbridge on April 16, 2017.
WOODBRIDGE -- A car overturned and seven people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash on the Garden State Parkway Sunday afternoon.
A 2016 white Toyota Corolla and a 2016 black Nissan were traveling southbound on the Garden State Parkway near milepost 131.8 at 3:30 p.m. when, for unknown reasons, the two vehicles crashed, causing the Toyota to overturn, according to Trooper Alejandro Goez, a State Police spokesman.
Police were unable to provide the number of people in each car or their names and hometowns. However, Goez said all seven were taken to area hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Three lanes were closed to traffic for about 40 minutes.
No further details on the crash were available at this time and it remains under investigation.
