SOUTH BRUNSWICK -- A New Jersey Muslim organization condemned the attacks in Paris that killed 129 people.
The Islamic Society of Central Jersey expressed its condolences for the victims in a statement Sunday.
"The ISCJ strongly condemns the attacks that took place," it said. "This senseless violence is totally unacceptable and against every value and tradition of all faiths."
The organization also recognized the efforts of law enforcement during and after the attacks.
"We speak as Muslims, as Americans and as human beings who are committed to peace, healing, democracy and justice for all children and people in the world," ISCJ said.

The Islamic State group has claimed responsiblity for gun and bomb attacks on a stadium, concert hall and Paris restaurants that killed 129 people and wounded 350 others, 99 seriously. Seven people were detained Sunday in Belgium in connection with the attacks.
