A student showcase examines ... the issues
"Saturday Night Live" visited Woodbridge High School this weekend for a sketch about a student theater troupe.
This particular student theater showcase, which included the evening's host, Elizabeth Banks, took on various issues -- climate change, white privilege, respecting one's parents and the treatment of animals at Sea World. The twist is just how the students deliver their improv-flavored pleas for ... awareness.

While it's not clear the bit was supposed to be set at the Woodbridge High School in New Jersey -- high schools of the same name exist in Delaware and Virginia -- we do know that it's not the Woodbridge High School in California.
That's because, at the conclusion of the sketch, the students ask the audience to donate water bottles -- you know, to send to California.
To mark the recent attacks in Paris, "SNL" started its Nov. 14 show with a message delivered in English and French instead of its usual cold open sketch.
