No big storms are on the horizon, but temperatures will be chilly at the morning games and cold at the night games.
If you're planning to root your team on in the 2015 NJSIAA football finals this week, here's what you need to know about the weather outlook at each of the game sites across the Garden State.
EARLY WEATHER OUTLOOK
The forecast is looking good for December football weather. The rain that's falling across the state Wednesday will clear up before Thursday's games, and no rain or snow is expected this weekend. However, temperatures will be on the chilly side -- especially during the morning and evening games. So, bundle up.
WHAT TO WEAR
Our recommendation: Dress in layers. Start with a long-sleeved T-shirt, thermal shirt or flannel shirt, topped with a hooded sweatshirt. Cover that with a winter jacket.
(Remember, you can always remove one layer if you're feeling a little warm when the sun is out. But the night games will be cold.)
PLUS: Complete coverage of the NJSIAA football finals
Bring a pair of light gloves, and wear a wool hat or headband if you're not into hoods. For your feet, thick shoes or boots tend to be warmer than sneakers. And wear thick socks.
