The student's conduct didn't rise to a criminal level, police say.
SOUTH RIVER -- Police say a borough youth was disciplined internally after making a statement that "caused concern" on Tuesday.
The South River Police Department detective bureau investigated the statements after they were reported at 4 p.m. The statements turned out to be a hoax, police said.
The student's conduct wasn't criminal, police said, and an investigation wrapped up a few hours later.
