NEW BRUNSWICK -- Police are searching for a Rutgers student and Hillside native who was last seen Saturday, Hillside police said today.
Hillside Police said that Brianna A. Thomas, 20, was last seen Saturday, in a college dorm room at the Rutgers New Brunswick campus, where she was studying with a friend.
Thomas left behind her laptop in the dorm room and hasn't been able to be contacted since, police said.
Thomas is 5'3" with a thin build and was wearing her hair in a ponytail, police said. They said she was wearing blue jeans, a blue and white sweater with hearts, a blue vest, and blue Ugg boots.
Hillside police said Thomas' black 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix was found yesterday on Highland Avenue near the intersection of Lincoln Avenue in Orange. It is being towed by police as part of the investigation, they said.
Police did not say whether Thomas also lives on the New Brunswick campus or immediately return a request for more information about her disappearance.
The case is being actively investigated by the Hillside police detective bureau. Anyone with information as to Thomas' whereabouts is asked to call Hillside police at 973-926-5800.
