After accidentally knocking her elf off the shelf, a young girl from Old Bridge called 911 in a panic because she was scared she would be in trouble with Jolly Old Saint Nick
OLD BRIDGE -- It was just an accident, but a 7-year-old New Jersey girl thought it would ruin Christmas.
After accidentally knocking her elf off the shelf, a young girl from Old Bridge named Isabelle called 911 in a panic, scared she would be in trouble with Jolly Old Saint Nick, NBC reports.
According to the 2004 children's book Elf on the Shelf, which has spurred a nationwide trend, if a child touches the elf on the shelf its yule time magic may disappear and Santa may not bring gifts on Christmas morning.
The official Elf on the Shelf site has created a list of fixes for parents to share that can prevent a kid's panic in the future.
