The accident blocked traffic and injured at least one person.
METUCHEN -- One person was taken away in a stretcher and south Main Street was blocked off to traffic after a car crash Thursday afternoon.
The crash occurred not long after 3 p.m. Witnesses said that a maroon vehicle entering Main Street from Tulsa Street failed to stop for a stop sign, collided with at least two other cars and flipped on its side.
First-responders used the jaws of life to cut through the vehicle's roof and removed one patient, who was alert and talking with first-responders.
Police had no immediate information about the accident, but traffic was backed up throughout Main Street and on Amboy Avenue as a result.
