TRENTON - A Trenton man wanted on eluding and drug charges was arrested Middlesex County by county sheriffs officers and federal marshals, authorities said Tuesday.
Jermaine McCain, 37, of Kirkbride Avenue, was arrested by U.S. marshals and Mercer County Sheriff's officers in Edison on Thursday on warrants out of Bucks County, Pa., county sheriffs said.
Following his arrest authorities searched the car he was driving when he was arrested and a storage locker he rented in Monmouth Junction, where police found about 35 grams of heroin, a large quantity of packaging material and an assault weapon with a high capacity magazine, authorities said.
McCain was charged with heroin possession and distribution charges and weapons possession offenses. He was jailed in lieu of $175,000 bail, authorities said.
