Sunil Patel said he and the other employees at the 7 Eleven in Jamesburg don't know who won the million-dollar Powerball ticket sold at their store.
JAMESBURG -- Sunil Patel said he and the other employees at the 7 Eleven on Buckelew Avenue in Jamesburg have known since Thursday that they sold one of N.J.'s winning million-dollar Powerball tickets.
But they still don't know who won it.
"We're waiting," Patel said. "The winner still hasn't come in or come forward."
However, the store has seen more people come in to buy lottery tickets since it became known that one of the million dollar tickets was sold there.
"Once they heard the news, more people came in to buy," Patel smiled. "They are still coming in to buy tickets."
There were two winning tickets sold in New Jersey for Wednesday night's record drawing. The tickets in New Jersey matched five numbers, but not the Powerball for the $1,584,000,000 drawing and are worth at least $1 million each.

The person who bought the ticket at the 7-Eleven in Jamesburg won $1 million, but the other New Jersey winner, who made his or her purchase at Wawa on Springside Road in Westampton, Burlington County, will take home $2 million because the buyer spent an extra $1 m to exercise the Powerplay option.
