MONROE -- Earlier this month, Kean University played host to nearly 2,500 high school students from Union, Hudson, Essex, Middlesex, Morris and Monmouth counties at the New Jersey DECA Central Region Conference. DECA is a not-for-profit organization for students interested in careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.

At the conference, students had an opportunity to face off in competitions that tested their business skills. The winners will attend the DECA State Competition in February.
