NEW BRUNSWICK -- One juvenile was arrested and three others are being sought in the robbery of a Rutgers University student Wednesday near the intersection of College Farm Road and Ag Extension Way.
Rutgers University police said a student reported being confronted by four juveniles about 6:15 p.m. The juveniles demanded his cell phone and then struck him and forced him to the ground, police said.
Police said in a statement issued Wednesday night that the juveniles took the student's cell phone and fled in an unknown direction. The statement said the student did not report any weapons shown.
The student suffered minor injuries and declined medical assistance, police said.
One juvenile was arrested by Rutgers police shortly after the incident was reported, the statement said, and the others are being sought, but descriptions are limited.
