EDISON -- A North Edison man was arrested and drugs and guns were taken off the street after a raid Tuesday.
Rodney C. Livingston Sr., 51, was charged with firearms possession, distribution of heroin, possession of controlled dangerous substances, and drug distribution within 500 feet of a public housing facility. Bail at Middlesex County jail was set at $100,000.
"Our detectives must be commended for developing information that led to this arrest and helped take these illegal drugs and weapons off our streets," Chief Bryan said in a written statement.
The raid took place Tuesday at a residence on Wintergreen Avenue West, led by Detectives Robert Duffy and Chris Sorber.
Police said they found crack cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, two loaded handguns, and $6,000 in drug proceeds.
