The Jersey Blue Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution announced that Scott Schipmann of Piscataway High School has been named recipient of the 2016 Middlesex County Good Citizenship Award.

EAST BRUNSWICK -- The Jersey Blue Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution announced that Scott Schipmann of Piscataway High School has been named recipient of the 2016 Middlesex County Good Citizenship Award.
Chapter Regent Susan Luczu presented Schipmann with a check for $250, a DAR youth citizenship medal and certificate and an NSDAR challenge coin at a chapter business meeting on March 6 at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 133.
In addition to a written essay and two recommendations, applicants were required to submit a student fact sheet that outlined his or her accomplishments in leadership positions, involvement with organizations, awards received and community service efforts.
The committee was "impressed by Schipmann's maturity, leadership and participation in a variety of school, community and service activities."
