4-H youth from 13 N.J. counties learn about leadership

The second Discover the Leader in You! 4-H Leadership Conference is being held Saturday at Rutgers University.

A group of 41 4-H members from 13 counties will be participating in the Discover the Leader in You! 4-H Leadership Conference being held Saturday on the George H. Cook Campus at Rutgers University in New Brunswick in Middlesex County.

In February, 20 4-H members from seven counties participated in the same conference held in Gloucester County.

The conference provides an opportunity for middle school age youth to learn about and develop leadership knowledge and skills through large and small group interactive workshops and hands-on activities, according to Rutgers Cooperative Extension.

Hunterdon County 4-H fair

Among those attending the conference are:

  • Bergen County - Amber Scully and Catherine Scully
  • Camden County - Cole Johnson
  • Hunterdon County - Ashlee Gibbons, Taylor Lengen, Andrew Lederach and Jadin Zaccagnino
  • Mercer County - Jeffrey Salvador
  • Middlesex County - Luke Evanego, Madeline Gavin, Kyle Handojo and Annabella Sefa
  • Monmouth County - Shawn Hill, Charly Hunter, Hanna Salant and Olive Scaff
  • Morris County - Kristin Osika
  • Ocean County - Claudia Steffen
  • Passaic County - Jahmiere Artis and Isabella Sardina
  • Somerset County - Owen Gavigan, Megan Norz, Megan Van Antwerp and Jason Wang
  • Sussex County - Olivia Marion, Sophia Marion, Madeline Miller and Natalie Stefankiewicz
  • Union County - Jack Eckstine, Ryan Jones and Vijay Sreenivasan
  • Warren County - Kimberly Kolibas, Karson Smith, Kylea Smith and Kristine Zurovchak
