Empty boxes: A list of the 20 N.J. towns where a Sports Authority will close

New Jersey will lose 21 stores in 20 towns and hundreds of jobs.

The announcement this week that Sports Authority will close all its stores nationwide sent another jolt through the commercial real estate industry.

The nationwide retailer had originally released a smaller list of stores that it planned to close, but on Monday announced it would liquidate its holdings at auction May 16 and close all 140 stores unless a buyer emerges.  

Here's the complete list of 21 Sports Authority stores in New Jersey that will be closing across 20 towns (there are two Sports Authority stores in Paramus) with links to each store:

Atlantic City: 4315 Black Horse Pike

Brick: 1 Brick Plaza

Cherry Hill: 2139 Route 38

Sports AuthoritySports Authority plans to close all its remaining stores after selling its assets at an auction later this month. 

Clifton: 415 Route 3 East

East Brunswick: 300 State Route 18

East Hanover: 142 State Route 10

Flemington: 325 US 202

Hazlet: 3434 Highway 35

Ledgewood: 401 State Route 10

Manalapan: 55 US Highway 9

Mount Laurel: 70 Centerton Rd Unit P
