The defense continues today in the trial of Michelle Lodzinski for the murder of her 5-year-old son, Timmy Wiltsey.
NEW BRUNSWICK -- The defense is expected to conclude today in the trial of Michelle Lodzinski who is charged with the 1991 murder of her 5-year-old son, Timothy Wiltsey.
Her attorney, Gerald Krovatin, is expected to call several witnesses with the goal of raising doubt that she could have killed her son 25-years ago.
Both sides agree there is no direct evidence that links the now 48-year-old former New Jersey woman to the death of her son, who she reported missing from a carnival in Kennedy Park in Sayreville the evening of May 25, 1991.
His skeletal remains were found in a swampy area of Raritan Center in Edison 11 months later in April 1992.
Lodzinski was charged with his murder in 2014 after the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office reopened the case in 2011.
