NEW MILFORD - A Middlesex County history teacher was arrested Tuesday on school property and charged with luring and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in Bergen County, authorities said Wednesday.
Neal E. Ziskind, 35, of the Keasbey section of Woodbridge, was arrested at the Academy for Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences, which is a school in the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical High School District.
The arrest came 11 days after New Milford police received a report that a teenager had been assaulted in the borough and that obscene images had been exchanged, authorities said.
"He was taken from the school," said District Superintendent Brian Loughlin. "(Police) didn't say much when they escorted him out."
The assault did not involve a student in the district, Loughlin said.
Ziskind is charged with sexual assault, luring, endangering the welfare of a child and promoting obscene material, the prosecutor said.

The superintendent said Ziskind has been informed that he is not to return to school property until he meets with school officials.
Ziskind was held in the Bergen County Jail on $250,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
